Welcome to version 3.11 of my Java categorical syllogism program. On the Venn diagram to the right, click with the left mouse
button to fill in the regions of the circle. Use the right mouse button (or for Mac users, hold down
control when you click) to put an x in a region, to
signify that it has import. The smaller circles are there to put xs in between two circles on the
diagram. Finally, choose the correct form, validity, name (if any), and fallacies below.
When you press "Evaluate," the program will test your choices with the real syllogism
and tell you if you're correct or not in every category. Hit the "Random Syllogism" button to generate, appropriately
enough, a random syllogism. The "Random Diagram" button draws a random diagram as well as hides the menus
on top so you can't cheat (confused? Just try). Note, the "Figure" menu will automatically correct itself when one of the
premises is changed, and vice versa. The program will now check for identical premisis. That is, if the
program is thinking "No M is P" and you enter "No P is M" you will still be marked as correct, though
you still should determine the figure and syllogism name according to your own premisis.
